"I have practiced as an anesthetist for 46 years with a specialization in pain management the last 34 years. During this time, I’ve witnessed and experienced an evolution in understanding of the many integrated factors that influence a person’s experience of pain and suffering. As a result, I practice from within a holistic osteopathic integrative pain management approach that seeks to maintain an awareness of these many factors and draws upon the insights and practices of conventional, complementary, alternative, and integrative medicine. Pain does not exist separate from the person who is experiencing it. My goal therefore is to understand the larger story of the person in pain and incorporate safe pain treatment measures that allow for overall maximum improvement in health, function, and well-being."
